Georgia Eye Partners Welcomes Dr. Cynthia Guerin

Georgia Eye Partners (GEP) is pleased to welcome glaucoma specialist Dr. Cynthia M. Guerin to our team of dedicated physicians.
A board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Guerin specializes in the surgical and medical treatment of glaucoma and cataracts, as well as comprehensive eye care. She is committed to delivering personalized, evidence-based treatment while building long-term relationships with her patients.
Dr. Guerin earned dual bachelor’s degrees in biological sciences and psychology, with a minor in chemistry, from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), graduating summa cum laude with honors. She earned her medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine, graduating with distinction in medical law and ethics. She completed her internship and ophthalmology residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where she served as chief resident, before completing an AUPO-compliant glaucoma fellowship at Cincinnati Eye Institute/ the University of Cincinnati.
In addition to her clinical training, Dr. Guerin has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and presented research at national and regional conferences. Her work has focused on glaucoma, pediatric ophthalmology, retinal disease and complex ocular pathology. She is also actively involved in physician advocacy through the American Academy of Ophthalmology, supporting efforts to advance patient safety, access to care and physician training.
Known for her thoughtful and patient-centered approach, Dr. Guerin values clear communication and ensuring patients feel informed, supported and confident throughout their care journey.
Dr. Guerin will see patients Georgia Eye Partners’ Midtown and Decatur locations and Center for Sight’s Conyers office.
