Georgia Eye Partners (GEP) is pleased to welcome optometrist Dr. Anar Maurya to our team!
Dr. Maurya brings more than 20 years of experience in medical and refractive eye care, including LASIK/PRK co-management, cataract management, dry eye treatment and pediatric optometry. She is widely recognized for her expertise in fitting specialty contact lenses, particularly scleral and prosthetic lenses for patients with irregular or keratoconic corneas.
“Dr. Maurya’s commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, with 21 years’ experience collaborating with eye surgeons in refractive and medical care, make her an outstanding addition to our team,” said Dr. Evan Schoenberg, co-managing partner at Georgia Eye Partners. “We are very pleased she is joining us on our mission to provide the highest level of specialty eye care for our patients and our community.”
Dr. Maurya earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry after receiving early admission from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Her clinical insights have been featured in Optometry Times, Optometric Office and Review of Cornea & Contact Lenses. She is co-president of the Georgia Optometrists of Southeast Asian descent (GOSEA), a frequent CME speaker, and an active volunteer at local and international health fairs and medical missions.
Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Maurya is the author of the children’s book series, “Dr. Greasy’s Anatomy,” and enjoys sharing her passion for vision health through creative and educational outlets.
Dr. Maurya will see patients at GEP’s Northside and Marietta locations.
