Georgia Eye Partners is proud to welcome Dr. Cole McDougall, O.D., as a full-time member of our team!

Dr. McDougall first joined Georgia Eye Partners in 2023 as an Ocular Disease Resident Optometrist, completing his post-doctoral training in our practice. Originally from South Dakota, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from South Dakota State University. His passion for optometry grew from hands-on experience in both optometry and ophthalmology clinics, including his role as an ophthalmic technician at Vance Thompson Vision.

He went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon, where he served as a Trustee for the American Optometric Student Association, Advocacy Lead for the AOSA, and a member of the admissions committee.

Dr. McDougall completed clinical rotations at prestigious ocular disease sites across the country, including ICON Eyecare in Denver, Omni Eye Services in Atlanta, and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. McDougall enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle through hiking, gym training, and beach days. A food and travel enthusiast, he loves exploring new cuisines and destinations.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. McDougall on his transition from resident to full-time optometrist at Georgia Eye Partners!
