Anar Desai Maurya, O.D., is a comprehensive optometrist with over 20 years of experience in medical and refractive eye care, including LASIK/PRK co-management and cataract management. She is recognized for her patient-centered approach and expertise in refractive care, dry eye management, and fitting specialty contact lenses. Dr. Maurya has extensive experience managing irregular and keratoconic corneas with scleral and prosthetic lenses, and is sought after for her success in fitting even the most challenging contact lens patients.

Dr. Maurya attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for her optometric studies upon receiving honorable early admission from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Her academic success paved the path for excelling in private practice, public speaking, and writing for mainstream journals. Her clinical insights have been published in Optometry Times, Optometric Office, and Review of Cornea & Contact Lenses, covering topics such as dry eye, contact lens technologies and digital health trends.

Dr. Maurya is currently Co-President of GOSEA (GA Optometrists of Southeast Asian descent) and clinical investigator for emerging technologies in vision care. She is also an advocate for public service and regularly volunteers at local and international health fairs and medical missions. Dr. Maurya enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and staying active via playing tennis, strength training, yoga, and has recently published a children’s book.
