Welcome to WOA!

WOA! or Women’s Ophthalmic Association, is a group designed for women ophthalmologists and optometrists. Female providers represent an increasingly important portion of the eye care field and WOA! is a forum for us to network and interact with each other through fun activities and engaging lectures.

The mission of WOA! is to design social activities that cater to the unique needs of women in their career and offer a chance to have fun while getting to know each other. We at WOA! believe that one of the keys to success in medicine is collaboration and we hope you will join us for an upcoming event!

Past Events

May 11, 2017 – “Sips n Strokes”

Since our last get together was so “intense”, we decided to tap into our creative side by painting and we had a blast!  Since we have such a love for eyes, what better to paint?  Each canvas was the same image yet so different like each of the fabulous gals in attendence.  Look out for our next event in the fall!

November 2016 – “Barre to Bar”

Barre to Bar began with a fun, but intense, workout at Pure Barre in Brookhaven.  We rounded out our time together at Brookhaven Wines where we sampled specialty wine selections all while enjoying hors d’ouevres.
