Dr. Priscilla Chang is an optometrist who joined Georgia Eye Partners to pursue a refractive surgery/ocular disease residency beginning in July 2019. She is excited to work closely with the experienced GEP team to provide comprehensive eye care in the greater Atlanta area.
Dr. Chang is a graduate of the University of California Berkeley with a degree in Nutritional Sciences. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Illinois College of Optometry. She has trained at the Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago, Illinois; the Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri; the Cornea and Contact Lens Institute of Minnesota in Edina, Minnesota; and the Cleveland Veterans Administration Hospital and Vision Rehabilitation Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
Improving the quality of eye care in her community is important to Dr. Chang. Her passion for optometry and the visual health of the underserved led to her active involvement in the American Optometric Student Association (AOSA), the American Academy of Optometry (AOA), Volunteers in Optometric Service to Humanity (VOSH), and the American Public Health Association Vision Care Section. She has volunteered on optometric mission trips in Guatemala and Mexico to offer free comprehensive eye exams. Additionally, she performed Chinese and Spanish eye exams at the Illinois Eye Institute. During her time as a student, she was actively engaged in ocular surface disease research after being selected for the NIH/NEI T35 Research Fellowship program.
In her free time, Dr. Chang enjoys volunteering, reading, enjoying the great outdoors, being a foodie, traveling and seeking out new experiences.
