Dr. Chelsea Devitt is joining Georgia Eye Partners as an optometry resident. Her externship training included ambulatory surgical centers, Eye Specialists of Ohio in southern Ohio and Commonwealth Eye Surgery in Lexington, KY where she gained experience in cataract co-management as well as diagnosis of anterior segment disease. She also completed a rotation at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Hampton, Virginia, where she focused on managing primary care, diabetic eye disease and glaucoma. During her rotation at The Ohio State University Contact Lens clinic, she gained proficiency with advanced contact lens fittings including scleral lenses, gas permeable lenses and toric and multifocal soft lenses.
Dr. Devitt received her Bachelors of Science in Biology from The Ohio State University and proceeded to graduate from The Ohio State University College of Optometry where she was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, served in active leadership roles in the National Optometric Student Association as well as Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity. She volunteered and organized outreach programs to provide free eye care to those in need throughout her community and also abroad on a service trip to Guatemala.
