Georgia Eye Partners is a specialty eye care practice comprised of ophthalmologists and optometrists dedicated to providing patients in Metro Atlanta and North Georgia with the highest quality medical and surgical eye care. Our 14 physicians offer specialty eye care at seven locations, as well as at the Eye Surgery Center of Georgia. Our services range from disease-specific medical exams to complex specialty surgical care.
Gerardo Parada, M.D. is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology with an emphasis on cataract surgery. His postgraduate training included an internship in Internal Medicine at UNC at Chapel Hill. It was here where he and his wife fell in love with the South. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at Nassau County University Hospital, Stony Brook University Hospital, and the Veterans Administration at Northport in 1997. Outside of work, his hobbies include spending time with his family, golf, and tournament poker.
Alden Negaard, O.D. is a Virginia native excited to have recently joined Georgia Eye Partners in the fall of 2021. During optometry school, Dr. Negaard earned numerous accolades including multiple awards for clinical and academic excellence. After school, he completed a residency training program focused on ocular disease and surgical co-management at Houston’s prestigious Eye Center of Texas. There he worked alongside retina, cornea, glaucoma, cataract, and refractive surgeons. In his free time, he enjoys working out, cheering for Hokie sports, and spending time with friends and family.
